About

Me

I (Gard Gitlestad) am a '92 model guy from Drammen, a little town in Norway (by Norwegian standards, it's actually pretty large). I'm a senior high shool student and photographer, and also a web designer, should it be needed.

Being 16 years old at the time of writing, I do not yet have lots of impressive education and stuff to put in my CV. I'm self-taught and self-employed as a photographer, but I do some stringer work for a local newspaper and Buskerud Musikkråd. I have also participated in UKM 3 times, two of which I ended up with pictures at the Landsmønstring, the highest level.

My photography

I've been shooting since 2007. As mentioned above, I am entirely self-taught. I take pictures primarily within the urban exploration, photojournalism and street genres, and sometimes some portraits too. Generally, my pictures are on the borderline between photojournalism and art.

I'm very fascinated by the still picture's ability to tell stories, especially in combination with audio. I'm constantly trying to get better at photographic storytelling, and I hope to eventually end up as a full-time PJ - but we'll have to wait and see. :-)

I can shoot reportages, portraits, et cetera; if you're interested, just contact me and we'll work something out :)
